Richard is the principal dentist and owner of the practice. A graduate of the University of Leeds, he has lived and worked in the local area almost all his adult life. Richard splits his working week between general practice and his teaching position at the Leeds Dental Institute. In his role as a Clinical Teaching Fellow in Restorative Dentistry he is involved in teaching the students the most up to date dental techniques. Richard has also worked in a variety of dental practices which has helped to give him a wide range of experiences. The knowledge and skills garnered from these roles is proving invaluable in Richard’s day to day work.
Richard has a particular interest in children’s dentistry and helping dentally phobic and anxious patients to accept dental treatment. He feels each patients dental experience should be tailor made to their needs and in a relaxed and welcoming environment. He says that his favourite aspect of being a dentist is the daily interaction with his patients which makes every day interesting and different.

John qualified from the University of Leeds and has been practicing as a dentist for over 38 years. As a practice we are delighted that John has come to work with us after deciding to move from his previous practice at which he had worked for the majority of his dental career. As with Richard he has worked and lived in the local area for many years. Whilst John was studying he worked at what was then Canada Dry, a factory not 400 metres away from the practice. For approximately 20 years John was involved in the training of new dentists in general practice. He found this role helped to keep him abreast of the most modern dental teaching and techniques.
The professional links he made during this period and through owning a practice for 30 years continue to help him to develop his clinical skills. John continues to have great passion for his profession and the care he delivers to his patients. He has a particular interest in aesthetic and restorative dentistry.

Rebecca graduated from the University of Leeds in 2006 and has worked in general practice ever since. She enjoys all aspects of the job, but particularly working with anxious patients and children. She takes great satisfaction in putting people at ease, such that they are able to accept treatment and gain confidence for the future.
She also enjoyed her role working for Local Care Direct, treating patients with dental emergencies who could not get in to see their own dentist.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves cycling, chatting over tea and cake and supporting the Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey team.
